Union Chapel is a place where people can meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. Our mission is to make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world. We recognize that transformation happens one person at a time.
We seek to create a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ.

Rev. Ann Mann serves as pastor at Union Chapel. Pastor Ann answered her call to ministry in 2009 after a 20 year career in broadcasting. She has served as a part-time local pastor at Mt. Pleasant UMC in Calhoun, as pastor to a three church charge in Elberton and Hartwell (Coldwater UMC, New Bethel UMC and Cokesbury UMC), as Associate Pastor at
Due West UMC in Marietta, and in September of 2020, she began serving as Pastor to Union Chapel UMC and the surrounding community.

Pastor Ann is committed to spreading the good news of Jesus to those who are far from God. She draws inspiration from the person and teachings of Jesus as found in God’s Living Word. Pastor Ann and the people of Union Chapel are committed to offering the hope of Christ to the poor, marginalized, and those who are far from God. A scripture which offers inspiration for daily living is Matthew 25:37-40:
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

Ann was born in Alabama, and has lived in Florida, Mississippi, Illinois and now Georgia. Ann met her husband Kim while working as a news anchor in Montgomery, Alabama. After they married, they moved to Georgia, where they have lived longer than they have lived anywhere else. Kim and Ann have two children by birth (Lynde and Bretson), and one child by choice (Gilbert.) All the children are grown and gone, so Kim and Ann are now empty nesters (along with their pets.)

We would love to Have you Worship with us!
